Hello, my name is Svetlana, but you can call me Sweetlana.
I grew up in Central Asia, where the multicultural diversity of Europeans and Asians is celebrated through food and desserts. My dad was a beekeeper who would move bee hives from one place to another for pollination. Traveling with him through various landscapes such as desserts, mountains, and valleys, I developed my appreciation for healthy and organic food.
My mom was a chemistry scientist working with the country's pharmaceutical administration. I guess this is where I got the basic understanding of mixing proper ingredients for the desired outcome. When they divorced, I chose my path in life to become a fashion designer.

With a University degree in Fashion and Design, I bring artistic elements in desserts to the table. I specialize in premium European-style desserts for special events.

After working in the industry, I met the love of my life. On the second date, Ivan shocked me with his romantic and courageous proposal to marry him. It was clear that he was the one I wanted to be with for the rest of my life. Three months later, we had our wedding day with 350 guests. Believe me, I know what it means to host significant events and organize an extravagant wedding celebration. During our first year of marriage, he helped me to finish University. It was obvious that this man would support me in all my pursuits. He is my inspiration and encourager in dessert making. That is why I believe people enjoy my desserts, because they are made out of a place of love and support.

Early in marriage, I had a burning desire to be a full-time mom. So after graduation, I got pregnant with our first daughter. For the next 15 years of my life, I dedicated myself to supporting my husband's calling in life and giving birth to four wonderful children (Victoriya, Samuil, Anastasia, and Elizabeth).
We homeschooled our children. We traveled the world. We experienced cultures and foods in Europe, Asia, and Africa. I've visited around 45 countries. This multicultural experience has enhanced me as a person, a mom, a wife, and I believe, as a chief. I love family and family gatherings. This is how we build a home and family calendar. We host friends and families of up to 60 people in our home. Despite how big or small a reason for a get-together, I give my 100% effort, creativity, and passion to making the best dessert I can make. I love cooking for birthday parties, graduation events, and big celebrations.

When Anastasia was 5, she drew a picture of the cake she wanted for her 6th birthday party. It was an impressive seven layer cake with complex elements. It was a challenge for me.

However, after conquering the project and seeing the big smile on her face, I realized that all my past experiences and present status call me into a new future calling - to become the best eatable artist in the world. It is not cooking for me. It is an art. I enjoy every minute of it. I love the complexity and creativity. I relax and recover from the stress by making something that produces joy and amazement in my family members or lovely customers. I can confidently say that my mission is to create a high-quality dessert for high-quality people to have a high-quality time. It's about more quality for fewer calories. It must be worth it if you want to go for a dessert. Let me help you to create delicious memories.

In 2007, the UN relocated my family and me to Houston as refugees from Central Asia. We arrived to start a new life with $200 and 2 suitcases of clothes with no connections or language. I lost everything back in my home, but not my passion for making delicious and artistically decorated cakes and personalized individual desserts. Without capital investment or advertising, the news about my talent flew around one of the largest cities in the U.S. By God's grace, my lovely clients keep me busy daily with orders for family events, weddings, corporate parties, personal fun, or as a gift to others.

Though I have won several international dessert-making contests, my true rewards are my customers' satisfaction and feedback.
I continue to live and work in North Houston, where I am dedicated to surprising and satisfying my clients. Without financial pressure from investors and greed, I push against the culture of mass production. Every single piece of sweet art is handmade and handcrafted. I accept a few individualized and customized inquiries a month, so I can have time to listen to the desires and dreams of clients and make those highly exclusive and premium orders come to life.
